UKONO is a Ukrainian company that sells pillows, blankets, and other products made from hemp materials. Over the course of four years, the company's team has improved the quality of pillows and blankets, conducted more than 200 different studies and tests of new shapes and ideal compositions for products, and now we are happy to present you with updated models of comfortable and compact pillows, blankets, and toppers containing hemp fiber!

Production is located in the city of Sumy and is carried out using hemp materials grown in Ukraine.

We uphold the traditions of our ancestors, as hemp is one of the oldest and most widespread plants in our country. Hemp was cultivated here as far back as the Trypillian period and during the time of the Scythians (i.e., hundreds of years before our era). Hemp has been grown in Ukraine since ancient times, while in most other European countries this plant began to be cultivated on a large scale only in the mid-16th century. In

the Middle Ages, during the period of active development of seafaring, hemp was used to produce fabric for sails, ropes, and other products. These were truly indispensable goods at that time, because

hemp products did not lose their high quality even after prolonged contact with seawater. In Ukrainian lands at that time, hemp occupied considerable areas, and the products manufactured here were used both for domestic purposes (hemp was used to make fabric, which was then used to sew clothes, shoes, ropes, twine, used as feed for livestock, to make oil, etc.) and in large quantities for export.

By 1931, the hemp breeding department at the Institute of Bast Crops in Hlukhiv (Hlukhiv), Ukraine, was one of the world's largest centers for the development of new hemp varieties, focusing on improving fiber quality, yield per hectare, and low THC (opiate component) content.

This industry has continued to develop, and now you can enjoy blankets and pillows filled with hemp fibers, hemp socks, and hemp-based foods.

Our company is constantly developing and striving to expand.

Even in such difficult times, when our country is at war, we continue to work and support the Ukrainian economy.

In early fall 2022, we added hemp products to our range: hemp oil, granola, cookies, candies, Omega Mix, protein, bran, and hemp seeds.

And in mid-November 2022, we opened our first offline store, “Ukono Hemp Shop,” at 147 Peremohy Avenue in Sumy.

Now, residents and visitors to Sumy can visit our store, where they can get a closer look at our product range and appreciate the softness and comfort of our hemp fiber-filled pillows and blankets.
